Excelsior excess
‡ On 28th December 2009, after extensive financial problems leading to game forfeits, Excelsior Mouscron were excluded from the Pro League and relegated. All their fixtures were scrapped and points gained against them annulled.
2009/10 season Pro League play-offs
In a change to previous seasons, the Pro League teams finishing in the top 6 will go into a play-off league, to decide the championship.
The play-off league comprised of points gained during the normal season divided by 2, added to the points gained for the round-robin play-off league. The goal difference was not carried over.
