Changes from the 2014 season

New York City FC and Orlando City SC join the MLS. They will play in the Eastern Conference.
Consequently Houston Dynamo and Sporting Kansas City move to the Western Conference.
The CD Chivas USA franchise folded, so each Conference is made up of ten teams.
San Jose Earthquakes move to Avaya Stadium and Columbus Crew changed their stadium name to Mapfre Stadium.
