FC Argeş Piteşti relegation
CS Gaz Metan Mediaş finished in the relegation zone, but FC Argeş Piteşti were relegated. Although FC Argeş Piteşti had finished 10th, they were relegated due to their owner being found guilty of corruption.
Liga II structure
The Liga II is split into two divisions of 18 teams, called Serie 1 & Serie 2. The winner and runner-up of each division is automatically promoted to the Liga I.
