Liga II structure

The Liga II is split into two divisions called Serie 1 & Serie 2. The winner and runner-up of each division is automatically promoted to the Liga I.

* FC Vaslui relegation

FC Braşov, who finished in the last relegation place, were given a reprieve. This was due to FC Vaslui having financial problems and despite them finishing 5th, they were relegated in place of FC Braşov.
